Story 5

Fall is upon us. Deny it all you want but mornings are getting slightly cooler, the store aisles are fully stocked with Halloween decor and Pumpkin is back! I love fall and I also love reading stories that seem to match the season. So for our Fall book club I have put together 4 books that I really enjoyed. Four books that have some Suspense, Mystery, and just a Touch of Magic.

Each of these are vastly different depending on what you are looking for. For those who love their fiction with a sprinkle of magic, The Lost Bookshop is pure delight. It’s great for individuals who love when multiple characters stories are woven through time and place. If you’re a fan of dark academia and psychological suspense, then The Teacher is for you. It keeps your attention, is a little disturbing and has a surprise ending that will keep you on your toes. A Curious Beginning is the first of this series by Deanna Raybourn and I have read 4 of them over the years. Set in Victorian England, this novel introduces us to the fearless, witty, and utterly unconventional heroine, Veronica as she solves mysteries. Lastly, The Drowning Woman has shifting perspectives from all characters and is incredibly layered. Again, another suspenseful storyline.
